The Hazel Dormouse is said to be anti-venomous in folklore, which is not uncommon for rodents! They can also peel off their skin without harming themselves to escape from predators. AND they sleep for over half of their life time!

Hmm… let’s see: I am a great make-up artist (no predator can distinguish me from surroundings once I am covered in mud 😛 ), I know kung-fu, I fly almost as good as Superman and I am an excellent dancer on par with John Travolta!

I have so many skills it is hard to pick just one! I am particularly proud of my ability to produce a new set of teeth every 2 weeks (and up to 30,000 in my lifetime). Other skills which would be in the ‘runner up’ category would be my ability to use electroreception to detect the heartbeat of my prey even when they are completely concealed, or fluoresce under UV light!
