      Using high speed video dragonfly wings have been filmed at around 30 Hz (30 beats / second) – so that is 1800 times per minute – this is ten times slower than a bee’s wing, but each of the four dragon fly wings can beat and turn independently, producing great agility. The amazing is that the basic design and overall shape has not changed for at least 300 Million years, judging by dragonfly fossils, so it works pretty well!
